Wubbox Hatching and Discussion

  • I know the Wubbox was realeased on the Air Island not too long ago. I was thinking that I should start a discussion to ask questions or just talk about the Wubbox. Maybe you

    Wubbox Active
tell people when you hatch you Wubbox or power it up.  I understand that Wubbox's are a big achievement in MSM. I guess I'll start it off:

So, I just powered up my first Wubbox and decided to place it on the Air Island. I know that not many people have the Wubbox on that island. I've also been thinking about what island to place my second Wubbox on. Feel free to give me any ideas.

    • I've also noticed that if you change the background of the Wubbox's blue orb in its body, I'll change color. For example: if you place a Zuffle Tree behind the monster's orb, then it'll turn from blue to purple. It also works with path tiles like the Dandifloret Path (which will turn the orb white.) I placed a couple Dandifloret Paths behind my Wubbox on my Air Island and it looks really cool.

    • Wubbox Strategy and hints:

My Plant Wubbox - I did not plan ahead - first I was shocked that it went to the Nursery for a long time!! So I was just so anxoius to get it going and had to wait.  Then I became impatient again and fed the Wubbox some of my great earning Level 15 monsters straight off the Island !! (dont do this!!!!!)  It still took a long time to get done.

My Air Wubbox - I made a plan and stuck to it.  Got the Wubbox on sale, was still surprised that I had to wait while it was in the nursery...  Then I figured out which monsters took less time to hatch, starting with the single element ones that  you buy, and just cooked along like that and sent the monsters straight from the Nursery to the Wubbox.  If you have extras in your hotel you can always use them, but make sure that you dont place a monster that you need to keep your high earners happy.  (Be aware that you will need to replace them or wonder why your monsters are not producing like they used to)  While you are having the single element monsters in the Nursery hatching you can also start breeding for the others you need.  Think about what wont clog up your breeding structure forever, or the Nursery... You can breed for the Entbrat and use the boo-boos to place into the Wubbox, but if you get the Entbrat, it may slow you down but you will have it out of the way.

Try not to use your monsters that you have Leveled Up - it is a total waste of Coins and Food and Time.

This Wubbox process is fun, but just like everything else, it takes a lot of patience !!

yeah it is pretty awesome ;) but i swear they change depending on the island, like when i go on a gold island on the weeks top islands, one of the wubboxs is the normal bluey colour, but the other both the orb and the electricity in its limbs is just brigth white, anyone else getting this?

A boo-boo is an error, a mistake. Something that went wrong. In this case, attempting to breed and Entbrat, and getting something other than an Entbrat.

    • I swear they are, I mean if you look on some of the top gold islands there is a definite difference in the colour of the electricity some just white some a deep blue

        Loading editor
    • Nah, that's just the colour of the ground behind the Wubbox showing through the semi-transparent bits.

    • If you look at the resource files, there are two (slightly) different sheets for the Wubbox art, monster_WUB_sheet.png and monster_WUB_COLD_sheet.png. The difference between them is, as Hewy said, in the color of some of the blues. So the ones on the Cold Island are probably using the second sheet (not a Wubbox breeder, so I can't check for myself).

Guessing that these differences would carry over to the Gold Island, but don't know for sure.

What are you referring to? I don't see anything about "waking the island" on the Wubbox page. True, the islands do look like large sleeping monsters, and it would be pretty cool to see one wake up, but I haven't read anything to indicate that a Wubbox can do it.

    • Perhaps I'm just misunderstanding the bio info.  When it says it is "vital to the life processes of the colossal island monsters" I assumed it had more of a connection to the island somehow.  Maybe not.

    • I thought you weren't supposed to be able to box Ethereal monsters, but I noticed on the Plant Island that there is an option to box the Ghazt. I'm not eager to waste a Ghazt trying, but does anyone know if it just tells you that you can't do it?

        Loading editor
    • It tells you that you can't do it, though I've forgotten the exact message.

    • Don't know if anyone has gotten this far, but say you powerup wubbox to gold island, one from plant and then you have another from cold island or different island; they both have different sounds on their own islands but what if you take one from each and put them on gold.  Do they make two different sounds or exactly the same?  Thanks all

    • Any monster on Gold Island sings the Gold Island song, regardless of where they came from originally.

I am getting close to purchasing the Wubbox. I was wondering, based on the above info, if I feed the Wubbox monsters from the nursery do I have to level them up while they are in the Wubbox or no? I ask because there is a lot of contradicting information on the web. When I look at this wiki's Wubbox page it talks about feeding it 'regulars'. But it doesn't specify if the monsters need to be leveled up when placed from the nursery.

You don't need to level up them. It is better if you place level 1 monsters to the Wubbox. :)
