The scratch ticket is one of the mini-games in My Singing Monsters. Every day users automatically receive one free scratch ticket. Players may also purchase further tickets for 2 each, either by pressing the "replay" button immediately after clearing a ticket or at the Castle (but only while the Castle is not in the process of being upgraded). These tickets are a typical scratch card game. There are six boxes to scratch, and each box will reveal a different reward. Once three boxes reveal the same reward, you win that prize.
There is also a scratch ticket option in the Nursery of each of the five Natural element islands. This scratch ticket gives you a free Egg when you match three eggs of the same monster. The waiting time for another monster-egg ticket is one week, and it costs 10 to purchase another ticket.
Beginning in Version 1.3.3, it's possible to prevent scratch tickets from appearing immediately upon login by unchecking a box on the scratch ticket itself. Scratch tickets appearing automatically had started around Version 1.3.1.
Beginning in Version 1.4.0, the prize amount can be two times more by watching an advertisement. It is particularly useful when a player earns Diamond prizes because the player will earn at least 2 more diamonds from watching a single video. A pop-up of "Increase reward! Watch a video and collect 2 times more?" will appear after pressing the collect button. If you happen to get any prize, no matter what size or what type of currency (be it coins, diamonds or food), you can watch a video and you will earn twice the rewards - it is possible to earn 1000 extra diamonds just for one video!
Since Version 2.0.4, Keys and Relics are available as Scratch Ticket prizes. Another change to the castle ticket is instead of the option of doubling your winnings by watching a video, you now get an additional ticket for watching.

These are the "base values". The Coin and Food rewards scale up as the game is played.
(The prize numbers are taken from the game's scratch-data.dat file.)
The specific monsters available depend on the island where the ticket is being played. It is possible to get a Seasonal Monster at any time of the year via the Scratch Ticket, though it is very rare to get one.
|Common||Single Element Monsters|
|Uncommon||Double Element Monsters|
|Rare||Triple and Quad Element Monsters|
|Very Rare||Seasonal Monsters|
Every ticket yields a prize, but it is usually (about 90% of the time) low-value. Smaller rewards are much more likely than bigger ones. In addition, coins and food are much more likely rewards than diamonds in the Castle scratch game.
If you are playing the Nursery scratch card game, single element monsters are much more common than monsters with multiple elements. The top prizes are monsters with four elements and monsters which were only available for limited time periods, such as the Yool. The monsters found in the scratch ticket will also be appropriate for the island that you play the scratch game on (e.g. if you play the scratch ticket game on Cold Island you will not get any monsters with the Earth element).
Players sometimes try to cheat by not collecting their reward if they are not happy with it, then clicking on the structure that offers the desired ticket and trying again. But this is futile, as the reward doesn't change until it is collected — the same prize appears over and over again. This is because the prize is generated on the game server, not on the player's device. Every time the game asks the server what the prize is, the server just tells it the same thing! It is also not possible to cheat by changing the clock or turning off the time functions on the game device, for the same reason, and trying to do so can "confuse" the game and cause it to temporarily stop working properly.
It is possible to cheat the weekly monster-egg game, in a very limited way. If you find out what the monster egg is and don't like it, you can skip collecting it and go to another island which that monster can't appear on. If you play the monster-egg scratch game there, the game will have to choose a different monster egg, however the monster will be of the same rarity level, making it near useless to attempt this "cheat" on single element monsters. However, if a much rarer monster is received, this could be useful to receive a monster you need, such as a seasonal if you have already received the seasonal scratched on that specific island, but are missing a different one.
- Nurseries of islands other than the Natural elements (i.e. Ethereal and Shugabush) do not have access to the Nursery version of the Scratch Ticket.
- Coin and food prizes increase with higher player levels. Other prizes don't change.
- With the initial release of 2.0.4, choosing the option to watch a video for an additional castle scratch ticket caused a forfeiture of the winnings from the first ticket with only the winnings from the second ticket being received. By April 3, 2017, this was changed so that the player collected the winnings from both tickets. It is unknown if this was a bug or if the change was made to benefit the player.
- During the 2017 Blabbit Season, or the "Egg-Stravaganza", the egg scratch was changed so Rare Monsters where a possibility to scratch. In addition, it also was changed so that it takes 5 diamonds to scratch a new ticket and once every 24 hours a free one became available. on April 18th, 2017, the Blabbit season ended, bringing an end to this promotion.
