My Singing Monsters

Some Quibbles flat out refuse to grow up – in fact, it's one of the few things the two heads can agree upon. Rare Quibbles, who naturally retain the short, stout beaks of their youth, really commit: they preen their crests into radical feather-dos and never replace the colorful keyboards they played as hatchlings. They do need to use beak extenders to reach the rocks... but whatever, man. Still totally hardcore.

Description[]

Rare Quibble is a Double-Element Rare Monster. It was added on January 9th, 2015 during Version 1.3.1. As a Rare Monster, it is only available at select times. When available, it is best obtained by breeding Tweedle and Toe Jammer, or by purchasing from the StarShop. By default, its breeding time is 10 hours and 30 minutes long. Although a Rare Monster, Rare Quibble still does not have high Coin production.

Breeding[]

Rare Quibble can be bred the same way as a Common Quibble. The combination is:

On Shugabush Island, Rare Quibble can be bred with Shugabush and Quibble (which may result in Shugabuzz), or teleported from any other island it is found on once it reaches level 15.

Any kind of breeding attempt which includes a Common Quibble may fail, and give a Rare Quibble as a result instead of the Common Quibble.

The Rare version of any Monster can be used for breeding instead of the Common version. In addition, it is possible to breed a Rare Quibble and a Common Quibble together. The outcome will always be a Quibble and if a Rare Quibble is available at that time, it may result from this combination.

Availability[]

For a list of when this Monster has been available, see: Breeding Availability

Rare Quibble, like all Rare Natural and Fire Monsters, is only available for breeding and buying some of the time during special events. Examples of such events:

  • All Monsters that appear on a certain Island.
  • All Monsters with a specific element.
  • All Monsters with a specific theme.
  • A seemingly random selection of a handful of Monsters.

In particular, they are likely to appear during Special Occasions.

The exception is Rare Fire Monsters on Amber Island. These are evolved in the Crucible, and are available any time after the Crucible is unlocked (by having 15 Monsters on Amber Island).

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Rare Quibble:

Egg Consumption[]

While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Rare Wublins and Celestials can be used to "dispose of" Rare Quibble eggs immediately instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Rare Wublins and Celestials; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Rare Quibble eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Rare Wublins have no time limit, and their egg inventories cannot be reset. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month. When being zapped into Celestials as a Flex Egg, Rare Quibble is not required for the Celestial to ascend.

Possible Monster Names[]

To see all possible names for Rare Quibble, see Monster Names.

  • "Vert & Violet" are the French words for "Green & Purple (or Violet)", logical since the heads are green and purple.
  • “Evelyn & Evelyn” is possibly a reference to the band Evelyn Evelyn. The only album by the band is a story of fictional conjoined twin sisters named Eva and Lynn, also known as Evelyn Evelyn.

Notes[]

  • Rare Quibble's ripples travel outwards faster than its common counterpart.
  • Its bio mentions that it retains the short beaks and colorful keyboard from its youth. This was of course later expanded upon in Dawn of Fire when it was released, where the Young Quibble indeed has both of the aforementioned traits.
  • Rare Quibble, along with Rare Clamble, was teased in a special holiday Rare Reprise in 2014.
