“ | Rotten luck for a Fwog if a Rare specimen surfaces in its territory. Whereas the Common Fwog aspires to attract a mate by song alone, the Rare invariably gets all the attention, with its spiraling horns and resplendently-colored head growths. The absence of the middle eye proves to be quite the hindrance, however; it must compensate with a heightened sense of smell (hence its nose), and of touch (via its hollow, prehensile toes). | ” |

Description[]
Rare Fwog is a Double-Element Rare Monster. It was added on November 7th, 2014 during the 1.3.0 2nd Anniversary Update. As a Rare Monster, it is only available at select times. When available, it is best obtained by breeding Noggin and Toe Jammer, or by purchasing from the StarShop. By default, its breeding time is 1 hour and 15 minutes long. Although a Rare Monster, Rare Fwog still does not have high Coin production.
Song[]
- See Fwog.
Breeding[]
Rare Fwog has the same breeding combination as its common counterpart:
- + Noggin and Toe Jammer
Any kind of breeding attempt which includes a Common Fwog may fail, and give a Rare Fwog as a result instead of the Common Fwog. This includes all of the breeding combinations that can't ever work in the usual way.
The Rare version of any Monster can be used for breeding instead of the common version. In addition, it is possible to breed a Rare Fwog and a Common Fwog together. The outcome will always be a Fwog and if a Rare Fwog is available at that time, it may result from this combination.
Availability[]
- For a list of when this Monster has been available, see: Breeding Availability
Rare Fwog, like all Rare Natural and Fire Monsters, is only available for breeding and buying some of the time during special events. Examples of such events:
- All Monsters that appear on a certain Island.
- All Monsters with a specific element.
- All Monsters with a specific theme.
- A seemingly random selection of a handful of Monsters.
In particular, they are likely to appear during Special Occasions.
The exception is Rare Fire Monsters on Amber Island. These are evolved in the Crucible, and are available any time after the Crucible is unlocked (by having 15 Monsters on Amber Island).
Likes[]
Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Rare Fwog:
- Fwog (requires level 7)
- Squeed Statue (level 16)
- Ambered Thing (level 22)
- Zuffle Tree (level 20) ()

Statistics[]
Earning Rate and Maximum Income[]
Earning rate is in Coins per minute and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's Level also increases this limit.
Feeding Monsters[]
Each Monster needs to be fed four times before it reaches the next level. Increasing the Monster's level increases the Coins earned per minute, as well as the maximum Coins earned.

More info can be found in the Feeding article.
Egg Consumption[]
While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Rare Wublins and Celestials can be used to "dispose of" Rare Fwog eggs immediately instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Rare Wublins and Celestials; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Rare Fwog eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Rare Wublins have no time limit, and their egg inventories cannot be reset. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month. When being zapped into Celestials as a Flex Egg, Rare Fwog is not required for the Celestial to ascend.

- Jeremiah is a reference to the song Joy to the World by Three Dog Night, which contains the lyric "Jeremiah was a bullfrog".

Notes[]
- Overall, Rare Fwog appears more mammalian than its common cousin, given its teeth, dog-like nose, and horns.
- Rare Fwog uses a recolored version of G'joob's horns, minus the holes.
- Currently, there is a bug where Rare Fwog's teeth disappear on only Plant Island.
