“ | Plant Island is a serene, sleepy paradise. Lie back and let the whisper of nature fill your ears. Breathe deep, and savor the intoxicating fragrance of flowers in bloom. Things change a little when Monsters arrive: Plant Island gets noisy. You won't be doing much napping then! | ” |

About[]
Plant Island is the first island available to the player in My Singing Monsters. It is the first Natural Island and manifests the Plant Element . The Island has a total of 66 Monsters and 145 Costumes. Monsters on this Island can be placed on Gold Island or teleported to Shugabush Island, Seasonal Shanty, Ethereal Island, Mythical Island, or The Colossingum.
Song[]
Composed by: Dave Kerr, Kristian Bush (Shugabush) Sam Clark (Rare Wubbox) Tom Meikle (Epic Wubbox, the Colossal's song)
Plant Island’s song plays at a speed of 140 beats per minute and plays in the key of C Harmonic Minor. The song is also available to download via the My Singing Monsters Soundtrack.
Plant Island's song can be described as a ballad, as the song is mostly basic and slow.
Plant Island has an ambience consisting of birds chirping and heavy wind.
The Colossal's Song[]
Audio Sample:
The Colossal makes a low, mechanical drone noise that slowly builds up. This sound only occurs when The Colossal is awake, which can be done by placing the Coloss-Eye on Plant Island.
Song Table[]
This is a chart that shows where each Monster plays in the song. Each part is 16 beats long, meaning that one part is around 6.86 seconds long. The number next to each Monster indicates which track is being played at each part.
*The Dipsters' 4th track is pretty much identical to their 3rd, the only difference being that Re does not play its final note in track 4.
Werdo Lyrics[]
Parlsona: "Every Monster knows... how the plants grow!
And every Monster cares!
And they know how they shape and they feed them!
And they keep them alive!
Let's watch plants grow! (X2)"
Both: "Everything here is alive! (X2)"
Tawkerr: "They sleep when it gets cold.
And the leaves turn, they turn red and they turn gold.
They need sunlight and water and earth and the air to keep them alive.
That's how plants grow! (X2)"
Both: "Everything here is alive! (X4)"
Parlsona: "A note becomes a chord, becomes a phrase, becomes... a melody!
And a note... becomes... a Monster!"
Both: "Everything here is alive! (X2)"
Both: "You plant a seed, it settles in... and then it bursts!
And then it splits, and makes a twin!
Then, there are more.
Look, across the landscape, and you'll find, it's just a bunch of plants! (Echoing "a bunch of plants")"
Indigenous Monsters[]
The Monsters of Plant Island are of the Plant, Cold, Water, Earth, Plasma, Electricity, Supernatural, Legendary, Spooktacle, Mythical, and Dipster elements. Since Plant Island lacks the Air Element, no Monster with that element can exist on it.
The list of indigenous Monsters is below with each Monster's class indicated in parenthesis.

Rocks and Trees[]
- Main article: Obstacles
Removing the rocks and trees from the island earns the player Experience () and it opens up space to place more Monsters, Decorations, or Structures. Removed obstacles are not gone permanently; they can be bought back with Diamonds () under the decorations section in the Market. In total, it costs 222,800 to remove all obstacles from the island.

Castle Upgrades[]
- Main article: Castle
To be placed on an island, each Monster requires a specific number of beds. For Natural Monsters, this is equal to the number of elements that Monster represents. Ethereal, Supernatural, Legendary, Seasonal, and Mythical Monsters each have varied bed requirements. Upgrade the Castle to unlock more beds.
Cost of each upgrade: Castle: Plant Island
Strategy[]
While the song of the Island is crucial, users may also want to use some of these numbers to help with planning which monsters to feed first and make 100% happy first, as well as plan frequency of coin collection. The numbers below are as follows:
Rate | Rate of income per bed at level 15 and at 100% happy |
Max | Maximum income per bed at level 15 |
Time | Time to maximum income at level 15 and at 100% happy (shown as Hours : Minutes : Seconds) |
It should be noted that Rate is halved and Time is doubled for 0% happy.

Notes[]
- Scups, Congle, and other non-Plant Island Monsters originally were a part of Plant Island before the game's release. [citation needed]
- Version 1.0.4 of My Singing Monsters was released on October 23rd, which included the first celebration of Spooktacle.
- Plant Island's full song is 2 minutes and 59 seconds long, which makes it the 2nd longest song in the original My Singing Monsters game, only barely being surpassed by Amber Island, which is 3 minutes long. This also makes Plant Island the 3rd longest song in the franchise after the Continent with a length of 3 minutes and 12 seconds and Amber Island.
- Plant Island and Shugabush Island share the same ambience.
- Plant Island is the only Natural Island in the game to not have a Monster that plays throughout the entire song.
- In fact, the only thing that does play throughout the entire Plant Island song is the Castle bass, possibly to make up for that.
- During the Spooktacle season, there seems to be a strange glow on the island's face. It is unknown what this glow is, or where it’s coming from.
- Initially, before the Werdos came out, Fwog used to transition after Mammott & Toe Jammer finished playing, and Clamble used to play on the part where Oaktopus originally first played.
- The Official Soundtrack sounds are different from the in-game sounds.
- Drumpler's in-game sound is made out of Drumpler's only drumroll in the Official Soundtrack, which makes it seem "glitchy".
- Fwog's in-game sound is slightly different in pitch than its official sound.
- Potbelly's front head has a different voice in-game than it is in the official soundtrack.
- Maw's second sound for the official soundtrack does not exist in the game.
- The Castle is much louder in the Official Soundtrack.
- According to Dave Kerr, Plant Island was first composed around December 2011.
- In Version 3.8.1, there was a bug with the Colossal where, after going into the Market and then exiting the Market, even if the Colossal was awoken prior to entering the Market, the Colossal's eyes would be closed. This has since been fixed.
- As of Version 3.9.2, if you do not have the Werdos or all the Wubboxes, there is a chance of Maw's first verse not playing at all, but Mammott's second verse still playing. When this happens, Clamble's second track plays before Rare Wubbox's verse, but stops its animation (but not its sound) when the verse begins. It does not play at the second time when Rare Wubbox plays its track.
- As of Version 3.8.4, because of the reworked Colossal Conundra mechanics, if you completed the Plant Island Conundra before the update, you can have the Plant Island Colossal in a state where it still plays its sound, but the eyes are closed.
- As of March 8, 2024, Plant Island's song has received 2 minor revisions since the Colossal, Grennitch, was added.
- The first revision was on Version 3.9.2, which extended Fwog's track. Originally, the audio file was ~6.86 seconds long and played 3 times in a row. Since this update, the audio file was made 4 times as long, containing the original audio 3 times in a row, with some extra blank space before and after.
- Prior to Version 2.0.4, Fwog's track played 4 times in a row, which was changed when the Werdos were added.
- The second revision was on Version 3.9.4, which cleaned up the Dipsters' tracks. Originally, seemingly random notes would be cut off and only last a quarter of the other notes. This was fixed in this update, making it so that nearly all the Dipsters' notes were played for the same length. A few were missed, however.
