My Singing Monsters

The vine-like Clamble protects its tender Plant head with flat metallic shells. As it grows, it saves the cast-off plates. While the element of Cold is in its family tree, the Clamble's green parts do not tolerate freezing.
Monster Bio

Description[]

Clamble is a Triple-Element Monster that is first unlocked on Plant Island. It is best obtained by breeding two Monsters that have the combined elements of Earth, Cold, and Plant. By default, its breeding time is 12 hours long. As a Triple-Elemental, Clamble does not have a high Coin production.

Song[]

Audio samples:

Hi-hat (Memory Game; Plant Island):

Open Hi-hat (Tribal Island):

Marching cymbals (Earth Island):

Suspend cymbal (Plant Island):

Instrument: Cymbal

Clamble's contribution to an Island's song is a variety of cymbals. Its metal cymbal head collides together to produce a sound of a hi hat, crash cymbals, marching cymbals, or splash cymbals, depending on the island. Clamble may also create notes on what looks like a tam-tam, which actually sounds more of a ride cymbal, suspended cymbal, or crash cymbal, depending on the island.

VSTs[]

Virtual Studio Technology is an audio plugin software that has libraries of sound effects and synthesized instruments. Within these libraries are SoundFonts, which are the individual effects and instruments themselves. The Monster-Handlers utilize several VSTs to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters.

Breeding[]

Clamble can be bred using Monsters that combine to provide the elements of Plant, Earth and Cold. Possible combinations:

Of these, Furcorn+Noggin is the best combination, as failing and breeding a Noggin lets you retry the combo almost instantly. Drumpler+Potbelly is a close second, because it has low average times in case of failure.

The Rare version of any breeding Monster can be used instead of the common version.

Clamble can also be bred in breeding failures. Some combinations that result in a Clamble in a breeding failure include:

(Best choice, 100% chance of a Clamble if Rare Clamble is unavailable)

(Good choice, 1% chance of a Ghazt/Humbug)

(Good choice, slight chance of Clamble but Noggin takes 5 seconds)

Likes[]

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Below are the things liked by Clamble:

See the Likes page to view a complete list of all Monsters' likes.

Monsters Who Like It[]

The following Monster(s) will increase their happiness by 25% when being placed near Clamble or when Clamble and a Unity Tree are on the Island. These may or may not also be Clamble's likes as well:

Statistics[]

Earning Rate and Maximum Income[]

Earning rate is in Coins per minute and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's Level also increases this limit.

Feeding Monsters[]

Each Monster needs to be fed four times before it reaches the next level. Increasing the Monster's level increases the Coins earned per minute, as well as the maximum Coins earned.

More info can be found in the Feeding article.

Egg Consumption[]

While trying to breed other Monsters (particularly Monsters with a very low chance of breeding), the following Wublins, Celestials, and Vessels can be used to "dispose of" Clamble eggs immediately instead of putting them into a Nursery and having that Nursery not be available. Note that doing this for Rare Wublins will cause the Wublin to stop producing currency and the eggs will not expire.

Note that Monster eggs can only be "disposed of" before awakening Wublins, Celestials, and Vessels; afterwards those Monsters will not accept any eggs. Also note that Monsters to which you have already disposed the number of Clamble eggs that it accepts, will no longer be available as a "recycle bin" for such eggs. Kayna's Vessel has no time limit, and its egg inventory cannot be reset. Awakened Celestials only accept eggs during their corresponding Celestial month.

Notes[]

  • Clamble's name most likely is a portmanteau of "clam" and "cymbal." The creature's head is made from two cymbals which resemble a clamshell snapping open and closed, and it carries another cymbal in its right hand.
    • Alternatively, it could be a portmanteau of "clash" and "bramble". Clamble makes a loud sound when it's hitting the cymbal held in its hand. A bramble is a prickly shrub, which might suggest spine underneath the “dress”. This is made more evident by Clamble's Bough Down costume.
  • A single Clamble can be nearly quiet until its crescendo on Plant and Earth Islands, but on Gold Island, Clamble sounds much louder.
  • In the Earth Island remix during the Furcorn and Dandidoo part, Clamble's part was extended.
  • Clamble can be heard playing in the Air Island soundtrack, despite not being able to be on Air Island due to the lack of the Plant element there.
  • Clamble is the only Natural Monster to not have a visible mouth.
  • Clamble was the last Common Natural Monster to receive a Seasonal Costume.
  • Clamble has multiple ways to eat food:
    • Like some species of frogs in real life, Clamble can use muscles around its eyes to push traditional foods (like Treats) down its throat.
    • It can also absorb energy from the Monster World sun. Its top cymbal acts as an organic solar panel and can absorb 20% more energy than regular plants.
  • In Version 3.8.4, a previously unused track for Clamble was added on Earth Island.
  • Clamble is the only Triple-Element Natural Monster that is not used to breed a Mythical Monster.
