“ | What could be more fun than a party in the clouds? Air Island is ready for a celebration. When Monsters arrive, there'll be dancing, singing, and all manner of shenanigans! | ” |
About[]
Air Island is available to purchase for 50,000 coins after unlocking Cold Island. It is the third Natural Island and manifests the Air Element . The Island is home to a total of 68 Monsters and 142 Costumes.
Song[]
Composer(s): Dave Kerr, Tom Meikle (Epic Wubbox)
Air Island’s song plays at a speed of 140 beats per minute in the key of G major. The song is available to download via the My Singing Monsters Soundtrack.
Air Island has an ambience consisting of heavy wind and occasional blue jay calls.
The Colossal's Song[]
Audio sample:
The Colossal makes a low, mechanical drone noise that slowly builds up. This sound only occurs when The Colossal is awake, which can be done by placing the Coloss-Eye on Air Island.
Song Table[]
This is a chart that shows where each Monster plays in the song. Each part is 16 beats long, meaning that one part is around 6.86 seconds long. The number next to each Monster indicates which track is being played at each part.
Werdo Lyrics[]
Stoowarb: They say that we are monsters, but I don't really care, just elementary monsters, it's all up in the air!
Parlsona: And now that you have landed, together we will share, a carefree life for monsters, because here we walk on air!
Both: You can see me in the sky and yet you don't know how to fly, and I don't want to be here alone.
Both: Take a chance, just take a step, and take a leap of faith with me, Can't you feel it? It's in the Air!
Indigenous Monsters[]
The Monsters of Air Island are of the Air, Cold, Water, Earth, Mech, Electricity, Supernatural, Legendary, Season of Love, SummerSong, Mythical, and Dipster elements. Since Air Island lacks the Plant Element, no Monster with that element can exist on it. It is also the only Natural Island to feature two Seasonal Monsters.
The list of indigenous Monsters is below with each Monster's class indicated in parenthesis.

Rocks and Trees[]
- Main article: Obstacles
Removing the rocks and trees from the island earns the player Experience () and it opens up space to place more Monsters, Decorations, or Structures. Removed obstacles are not gone permanently; they can be bought back with Diamonds () under the decorations section in the Market. In total, it costs 1,165,000 to remove all obstacles from the island.
Castle Upgrades[]
- Main article: Castle
To be placed on an Island, each Monster requires a specific number of beds. For Natural Monsters, this is equal to the number of Elements that Monster represents. Ethereal, Supernatural, Seasonal, Mythical, and Rare (only the Rare Wubbox) Monsters each have varied bed requirements. Upgrade the Castle to unlock more beds.
Cost of each upgrade: Castle: Air Island
Strategy[]
While the song of the Island is crucial, users may also want to use some of these numbers to help with planning which monsters to feed first and make 100% happy first, as well as plan frequency of coin collection. The numbers below are as follows:
Rate | Rate of income per bed at level 15 and at 100% happy |
Max | Maximum income per bed at level 15 |
Time | Time to maximum income at level 15 and at 100% happy (shown as Hours : Minutes : Seconds) |
It should be noted that Rate is halved and Time is doubled for 0% happy.

Version History[]
Notes[]
- Air Island was unlocked in the Version 1.0.2 update on September 12th, 2012. Prior to its release, Air Island was shown on the icon for the Islands section of the Market.
- Air Island used to be the only island where two Seasonal Monsters can be bred during two different Seasonal events: Schmoochle and Hoola. Seasonal Shanty has fifteen Seasonals, but they are available all year round.
- Since May of 2023, Fire Oasis now also holds this title with Gobbleygourd and Spurrit.
- The trees on Air Island appear to be Joshua trees (a type of Yucca).
- Noggin has exactly the same sound and animation on this island as it does on Plant Island.
- Unlike other islands, Mammott doesn’t sing “bum“ on Air Island. Instead, it sings "heyo".
- Similarly, Entbrat doesn't sing "laaa" on Tribal Island. Instead, it also sings "heyo."
- Quibble and T-Rox are the only Monsters to play throughout the entire song.
- Air Island is the only Natural Island to not decorate for an event that it has a Seasonal for, because it doesn't decorate for SummerSong, which is Hoola's holiday. It only dresses for Season of Love, due to it being the main Seasonal Event on Air Island.
- However, it is not the only Island. This also occurs on Fire Oasis with Gobbleygourd, on Shugabush Island with Viveine, and on Wublin Island with Monculus.
- Air Island is one of the only Islands that gives you a Monster in your Nursery when you first enter the Island, that being Tweedle. All other Natural Islands, besides Plant Island, also follow this rule.
- Air Island has 68 Monsters, which is the second most on any island (with the first being Gold Island at 108 Monsters. When Amber Island is done releasing Rares and Epics, that will make it the new first, with 111 Monsters).
- This is due to the fact that the island has two Seasonal Monsters (along with their Rare and Epic counterparts).
- With the Version 3.3 update, the cost of Air Island was reduced from 750,000 to 50,000 .
- Air Island is the only island where Toe Jammer and Mammott never play together.
- Air Island is the first Natural Island where the Colossal doesn't play at the beginning.
- Maw originally didn't play at the Stoowarb solo, thus making Track 2 completely unused, and the first half of Tweedle's verse was then made to be known as Maw's verse. This was changed as of Version 1.3.3.
- Air Island, as well as Faerie Island, are floating.
- Coincidentally, they are also located near each other.
- Air Island is the first island to play entirely in a major key.
- Stoowarb and Parlsona only sing while Quibble’s part is complex, so Air Island is the only island where the Werdos sing in only one half of the song.
